Chatgpt Grow alternatives

This page is written by us, so we did it the other way round: every alternative gets its price and its real strengths first, including the ones where it beats us outright. Where we would still pick ourselves, we say why and link to the full comparison.

What Chatgpt Grow does

The alternatives, one at a time

1. Outrank outrank.so

The best-known autoblogging tool in the category, and the one with the widest publishing coverage.

$99/mo — $999/yr 30 articles a month on one website, unlimited users.

Choose Outrank if

  • You need to publish to Shopify, Wix, Framer, WordPress.com or a Next.js blog — Outrank covers ten publishing targets, we cover four
  • You want one dashboard running many sites with volume discounts, and up to 90 articles a month on a single site
  • Writing in more than 18 languages matters to you — Outrank writes in 150+

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You would rather have one article built on original research — a commissioned survey with a public report — than five built on nothing but the search results
  • You want to see the quality score before publishing, including how AI-detectable the text reads
  • You publish to WordPress, Ghost, Webflow or Notion, and you care more about the writing than about the size of the integration list

2. SEObot seobotai.com

The original autonomous “SEO robot”, bought by the article count and priced from $49 a month.

$49–$1,050/mo Six tiers, priced by how many articles you publish.

The SEObot traffic dashboard, as shown on seobotai.com
September 2026 screenshot — The SEObot traffic dashboard, as shown on seobotai.com

Choose SEObot if

  • You want to start at $49 a month rather than $99, or you publish to HubSpot, Framer or a custom stack through their REST API and webhooks
  • You need more than 30 articles a month — SEObot scales to 150 and 300, which we do not
  • You also want directory submissions and programmatic SEO pages, both of which SEObot sells and we do not

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want the lowest cost per article: $3.30 at our single tier, against SEObot’s $3.50–$5.44 depending on which volume you buy
  • You want original research inside the article — a commissioned survey with a public report — rather than a rewrite of what already ranks
  • You want a quality scorecard that includes how AI-detectable the draft reads, before it publishes

3. Surfer SEO surferseo.com

A content optimization workspace — you write and publish, Surfer scores and tracks how it performs.

$49–$299/mo Priced by documents and seats, not by published articles.

The Surfer AI Overviews check, as shown on surferseo.com
September 2026 screenshot — The Surfer AI Overviews check, as shown on surferseo.com

Choose Surfer SEO if

  • You have writers and want a tool that scores their drafts against the SERP instead of producing the drafts
  • You need AI visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Gemini, including which prompts you are missing from
  • You want a content editor with brand knowledge, custom voices and templates, used by a team of several seats

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • Nobody on your team is going to write the articles — you want them researched, written, checked and published
  • You want articles built on original commissioned research rather than optimized around the pages that already rank
  • You want publishing automated to WordPress, Ghost, Webflow or Notion instead of a score to act on

4. Frase frase.io

The closest feature-for-feature competitor: an agent that writes and publishes, plus AI visibility and a hosted CMS.

$49–$299/mo Articles, audit pages, sites and seats all bundled into the tier.

The Frase content monitor, as shown on frase.io
September 2026 screenshot — The Frase content monitor, as shown on frase.io

Choose Frase if

  • You want one subscription covering writing, publishing, page audits and AI visibility rather than separate tools
  • Content Guard matters to you: Frase watches existing pages for decay, proposes the fix and republishes on approval
  • You work from an MCP client or CLI — Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor — and want your SEO tool inside it

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want original research inside the article — a commissioned survey with a public report — rather than AI articles and optimization scores
  • You publish to Ghost or Notion, which Frase does not support
  • You want one price and 30 articles a month rather than choosing between 10, 40 and 100 articles at $49/$129/$299

5. Scalenut scalenut.com

GEO first: AI visibility tracking, audits of pages you already have, and an AI writer underneath, sold by prompt and article quotas.

$24–$80/mo Prompts tracked, articles created and pages audited, bundled into each tier.

Scalenut’s AI visibility dashboard, as shown on scalenut.com

Choose Scalenut if

  • You want to know how AI assistants describe your brand — visibility score, share of voice, the URLs they cite — before you write anything
  • You want to audit and improve pages you already published, up to 2,000 a month, rather than grow a library from nothing
  • You publish to Shopify, or you want scheduling inside the WordPress publisher

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want the article to go out every day without anyone choosing the topic or pressing go
  • You want the evidence in each article to be original, with a published report, rather than assembled from the pages already ranking
  • You want the quality score to be part of the pipeline, including an AI-suspicion dimension, rather than a separate add-on to buy

6. Byword byword.ai

Automation at true scale — 300 articles a month for $2.78 each — with a real-time SEO score on every draft.

$83–$833/mo Per-article pricing with hard monthly ceilings and a 17% annual discount.

  • You want a real-time SEO score on the draft rather than a report afterwards
  • You want programmatic pages built from templates at thousands of pages a month

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want the evidence in the article to be original — commissioned for that topic, with a public report behind it
  • You want a multi-dimension quality scorecard on the finished article, not a single SEO score while writing
  • You want Search Console read per article, so a piece of content carries its own impressions and clicks

7. Arvow arvow.com

The widest feature list per dollar on this list — automatic backlinks, LLM brand visibility and 150+ languages from $69.

$39–$249/mo Three credit-metered plans on the annual rates shown, with backlinks and LLM visibility from the middle tier.

The Arvow homepage at arvow.com

Choose Arvow if

  • You want the most rows in a feature table for the money: backlinks, LLM visibility, local SEO and translation from $69
  • You publish in many languages — 150+ are supported, and auto-translate is on the middle tier
  • You want an MCP connector so an AI agent can drive the tool, which is unusual on this list

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want a fixed number of finished articles a month, and you do not want to budget credits across four kinds of task
  • You want the evidence in the article to be original — commissioned for that topic, with a public report behind it
  • You want a seven-dimension quality scorecard on the finished article before it publishes

8. ContentPen contentpen.ai

The cheapest auto-publishing plan on this list, and the only one that names a content-decay feature at $55 a month.

$27–$139/mo Three flat tiers billed annually, with article credits you can top up without expiry.

The ContentPen homepage at contentpen.ai

  • You publish to Wix, Shopify or Ghost, which several tools on this list do not support at all
  • You want decay and CTR monitoring without paying for an SEO platform on top

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want the evidence in the article to be original — commissioned for that topic, with a public report behind it
  • You want a per-article quality scorecard before it publishes, not an editing assistant after
  • You want Search Console read per article, so a piece of content carries its own impressions and clicks

Unlimited words rather than article counts, and a Site Agent that audits your blog every week without being asked.

$49–$199/mo Unlimited words on every plan; what changes is sites, audit frequency and reports.

  • You publish to Framer, Wix, Notion or Duda, which most tools on this list do not reach

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want the evidence in the article to be original — commissioned for that topic, with a public report behind it

$29–$249/mo Three flat monthly plans that differ only in articles and tracked AI prompts.

The Casper Content homepage at caspercontent.com
September 2026 screenshot — The Casper Content homepage at caspercontent.com

Choose Casper Content if

  • Tracking how ChatGPT and Perplexity answer questions about your brand matters as much as the articles do

  • You publish to Contentful, Squarespace, Framer or Wix, which several tools here do not reach

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want the evidence in the article to be original — commissioned for that topic, with a public report behind it
  • You want a per-article quality scorecard before it publishes
  • You want Search Console read per article rather than site-level performance tracking

The Koala AI homepage at koala.sh
September 2026 screenshot — The Koala AI homepage at koala.sh

  • You want your keyword, backlink and competitor data inside the same subscription instead of paying Ahrefs or Semrush separately

  • You want a seven-dimension quality scorecard on the finished article, including how AI-detectable it reads, before it publishes
  • You want Search Console read per article, so a piece of content and its impressions, clicks and average position sit in the same place

12. Jasper AI jasper.ai

A marketing platform sold per seat, with brand governance and AI-citation monitoring — not a daily publishing pipeline.

$69/seat/mo Per seat, with GEO, translation and research behind a sales call.

Jasper’s GEO Hub and its AI-visibility scores, as shown on jasper.ai
September 2026 screenshot — Jasper’s GEO Hub and its AI-visibility scores, as shown on jasper.ai

Choose Jasper AI if

  • You are a marketing team, not a site owner: per-seat collaboration, brand voice, style guides, visual guidelines and approvals before anything ships
  • Measuring AI citations is the point — Jasper monitors how your brand shows up across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot, and diagnoses the gaps
  • You publish in many markets, and you want a translation agent that enforces a glossary rather than a generic multilingual writer

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want an article published to your own blog every day, with nobody in the loop and no seat to buy
  • You want the evidence inside each article to be original — commissioned for that topic and published as a report anyone can check
  • You want one price for one site rather than $69 per seat per month, with the agents you actually want behind a sales call

13. RankPill rankpill.com

The closest match on price and volume: $99 for 30 articles a month, plus a backlink exchange.

$99/mo — $990/yr One plan, 30 articles a month, backlinks included.

Choose RankPill if

  • You publish to Shopify or Wix, which RankPill covers and we do not

  • Long articles matter to you — RankPill’s are 3,000+ words, ours vary with the topic

Choose Chatgpt Grow if

  • You want original research inside the article, with a published report, rather than a fresh write-up of the top-ranking pages
  • You want a quality scorecard with an AI-suspicion score before the article publishes
  • You want Search Console read per article, so you can see which ones earned impressions and clicks

  • You want the article to contain original commissioned research and a published report rather than a rewrite of the ranking pages

Frequently asked questions

Which of these alternatives should I pick?

By need rather than by feature count. If you want the lowest cost per article and you are happy to pick the keywords and press go, Scalenut’s Plus and Professional tiers are the cheapest on this page. If the copy itself is the point — brand voice across campaigns, product pages and translations, with an approval step — that is Jasper. If you want the cheapest way to generate words and you control every keyword, Koala AI starts at $9. And if you publish to Shopify, we are the wrong tool: six of the nine alternatives here reach it and we do not.

Which of these alternatives is cheapest?

Koala AI has the cheapest entry point: $9 a month, with 5,000 free words before you pay anything. Cheapest per article at volume is Scalenut — on their current promotion, 30 articles for $36 and 75 for $80, against our flat $3.30 an article. Jasper is the most expensive route to a published article: it is priced per seat with no article quota at all, so a three-person team starts at $207 a month. Compare what the tier includes rather than the headline number: $9 for 15,000 words is not the same product as $99 for 30 finished articles.

Why is this page written by Chatgpt Grow?

Because the alternatives to a product are normally described by the product, and it is better to say so than to pretend otherwise. The rules here match every comparison page on this site: prices come from each vendor’s own pricing page, every entry states what that tool is better at, and the rows where we lose are on the page. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Which of these tools tracks how AI assistants describe your brand?

Scalenut and Jasper sell it as a core product: visibility score, share of voice, the prompts you appear in, and the URLs the engines cite. Frase includes AI visibility tracking, adding engines as you move up its tiers, and Koala AI advises on winning citations without tracking them. We have no equivalent. Our bet is that commissioned research with a published report is what makes a page quotable, and that publishing one every day beats measuring — but measuring is the half we do not sell, so if it is your priority, start with one of those three.

See what it writes for your own site.
